I was born and raised in Western Canada speaking English as my mother tongue. After finishing high school I travelled to Colombia during the winter months for several years to learn Spanish. I finally moved to Bogota, Colombia when I married my wife who’s mother tongue is Spanish. I am in constant contact with the Spanish community where I live and speak the language on a daily basis within the home. Both big and small projects have provided me with translation experience from English to Spanish and vice versa. I also have experience public speaking and interpreting to large assemblies of people, receiving feedback on how to improve in this ability, in both English and Spanish.
