Who am I?
I am a translator, interpreter and teacher with over 20 years professional experience.
I have got two Spanish Licenciaturas (Master´s degrees under Directive 2005/36/EC) from the Spanish University of Salamanca, in Translation and Interpreting (1999) and in Law (2005). I also possess a Master´s degree in Conference Interpreting from the Spanish University of La Laguna (2004) and two further postgraduate degrees I obtained in 2011 and 2015, in Legal Language and Teaching.
I started my professional career in 1997 and since then I have lived in five different countries (UK, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg and Spain) and I have worked for a number of companies and institutions, mainly as a translator, as a teacher and as a lawyer.
I have worked for international institutions such as The World Bank Group and the European Union. Through different translation agencies and direct customers I have translated all sorts of legal texts, mainly judgments, orders, preliminary questions, contracts, agreements and deeds.
