ProZ.com Memberships

In order to maximize the opportunities for each user to meet and cooperate with others in this venue, we provide a number of features free of charge. This open approach has made ProZ.com the leading source of jobs for translators, the most active venue for translator collaboration, and the largest community of language service providers on the web.

However, by taking out an annual or bi-annual membership subscription to the site's advanced features, the user makes it possible for us to further develop and promote the site. In return, we provide the user with specific advantages for your business. There are two types of memberships ProZ.com offers: Full Memberships and Partial Memberships.

"Member" is the term given to ProZ.com's paying users. A member "joins Proz.com" by paying a fee to receive a higher level of service for a certain period of time, and remains a member until his/her membership renewal date. Discounts are available for those renewing current memberships, TGBs (Translator Group Buying), and/or for those with a certain number of browniZ points. Members get dozens of benefits and additional features in each area of the site.

Member-Facts:

  • Members are 4 times more likely to meet a client than a registered user.
  • Members meet on average 1 new client every 3 months.
  • Nearly half of all members received a positive return on their investment within 3 months.

Full Members

When asked the main reasons they upgraded, members cite:

(1) Increased exposure to clients (and therefore more jobs)

(2) Full access to the "Blue Board" database of clients, and feedback on them

(3) A desire to "give something back" to the site
