Summary:This course will consist of a series of interactive three hour workshops designed to provide participants with a broad knowledge of English medical terminology. For the purpose of organization, each organ system will be presented and discussed separately. This includes basic anatomical terms, diagnostic procedures and common pathological conditions. The first online workshop will focus on terms used to describe the basic anatomy of the brain and nervous system. The functioning of various parts of this complex system will be discussed. In addition, the terminology presented during this session will be reviewed in a discussion of diagnostic procedures and common pathological conditions related to the brain and nervous system.
