I`m trained, certified and experiences with clients. I also translate into my German mother tongue, usually from English. Thematic background: Originally in economy (including some finance), but I had slight medical and a semester of technical, too. My first client was a religious NGO, I translated interviews, culture, their intranet and religious content. - Having said that I`m good with culture/politics and psychology and a lot of in betweens, but also had clients from i.e. medical "light" (cardiology, diabetes, medical interviews and medical peer groups in market research). Next to that I had quite good experience in fashion/magazines,  have worked at trade fairs and events for many years and have done most jobs you can within a company. I also spent over 7 yrs in an internal position with Marketing and Sales projects in IT related enviroments (full stack, soft- and hardware, all sorts of products, SaaS, platforms...you name it).

Buzz words: marketing, sales, presales, IT (hardware/software products, applications, CRM, virtualisation, storage - e-commerce down to logistics (wholesale), Channel and Marketing or Partner Campaigns

Texts translated have i.e. been: interviews, pitches, intranet, articles, e-commerce texts, website content, company presentations, product related infomation, marketing copy, sales e-mails, whitepapers, workshop documents, training/coaching and QM/QA or evaluation material, call guides, brochures, texts on strategy etc. 

Use of TM and terminology awareness: I had TRADOS training, but my clients usually don´t hold extensive prior databases (or don´t have anyone keeping them clean, which is needed for TM work; so that is deeply different from agency clients!). For "fluent" translations and copywriting TMs are not such a big topic. - I have worked into systems, though and can learn to use most of them quickly, if an ongoing cooperation requires it. Otherwise, I use reference materials, whatever comes in a briefing or the agreed sources, as normal...

Specializing in IT and marketing texts I also cover arts, culture, travel and journalism. I offer"transcreation/copywriting".

Client match: Boutique agencies or direct clients (i.e. marketing/sales/management people, contact persons engaged in the IT industry, editors dealing with arts texts or travel and press) are welcome to get in touch. If you need a student, please be aware that I`m none.

Please check first: My exclusion list for texts I don`t do: I don`t engage in gaming/betting, purely technical (i.e. (M)SDS or construction/automotive texts etc.) or law/sworn translations.

Rates: Rates are an average 70-99 EUR/hr for the translation of general content or transcreation/adaption).

Ich bin:

Ausgebildete Übersetzerin mit IHK-Zertifizierung (Das entspricht ca. 5,5 Jahren für die Erstausbildung/Berufsausbildung, die konsekutive Fachausbildung und Fachakademiestudium + Auslandsuniversität)
- Meine Muttersprache ist Deutsch.

Extensive Arbeitserfahrung. Übersetzt habe ich - und übersetzen kann ich: Marketing/(Pre)Sales: Websites, Schulungs-/Coaching-Unterlagen, Leitfäden, Marketingbroschüren, Whitepaper, Angebote, Produktübersichten und -ausführungen und Texte zur Qualität und Strategie, IT (Produktbereiche wie z.B. CRM, Virtualisierung, E-Commerce, Storage, Hard- und Software und mehr), Channel- und Partnermarketing, Interviews, E-Mails, Pitches etc.

Für mich selbst sind mitgegebene Glossare, Referenztexte oder Kontaktpersonen für Rückfragen ausschlaggebend. Ich kann mich allerdings auch schnell in Systeme einfinden (bei langfristiger Zusammenarbeit!) Gelernt habe ich mit TRADOS, nutze aber derzeit nur "offene TM-Glossaren", da meine Kunden normalerweise keine standardisierten Prozesse haben bzw. keine Übersetzungsbüros sind und meist nicht die Kapazitäten haben, die man braucht, um inhouse Glossare ständig aktuell zu halten (das machen nur sehr große Firmen, kaum jemals kleinere und mittlere!). Insofern bekomme ich meist normale Textdateien!

Ich biete Transkreation (Neuformulierung) oder Copywriting an. Sie können mich auch zu Themen wie Kunst, Reisen oder Journalismus anfragen. In diesen Bereichen unterstütze ich Sie auch gerne!
