ProZ.com is putting together a virtual summit to be held April 7, 8 & 9th from 14:00 to 20:00 GMT on each day.

We will be offering training, videos and the event itself free to the language industry.

As time is short, priority will be given to presenters able to produce/record their own sessions and presenters able to record presentations March 30-April 3rd. If you have previously recorded a presentation and are able to use again, please fill out the form (link below). Internet upload speeds are critical to presenters participating in the event. As time is short & internet speed critical, any submission without a speedtest link (question 5) will not be reviewed.

The theme is Empowering freelance translators & interpreters to achieve their business objectives & reach their full potential.

We're looking for three types of content:
1) content for brand new linguists
2) content for established professionals.
3) holistic health content or content on ways in which linguists can maintain their health, well being, during a time of unprecedented stress.

Please contact [email protected] with any questions related to this form or to the Virtual Summit.

Excellent idea! Mar 30, 2020

Would it be OK to spread the word also among professionals, not necessarily connected with our industry?
I have an expert in positive psychology in mind.
She is a freelancer as well.
Take care and stay safe!
Ivana.

Yes, by all means! As we can all see, a crisis like this goes way beyond our ability to handle a CAT tool or translate a sentence beautifully, as it involves all kinds of challenges to our security, our stability, our income, those around us, etc. So a holistic approach is vital.
