Beware of scams 44 pages document, due in one month, "Research Phase 1"

I almost got scammed by a [email protected], probably not a real person or name. Asking for bank draft payment. I found out here (thank you so much ProZ.com members) that this is an old scam and that the document has been used multiple times and that this person would send you over-payment and then ask for the balance to be refunded just to find later on that the whole thing was a fraud. BEWARE!

As has been mentioned, this is indeed a scam. It was quite obvious to me at first when I noted a discrepancy between the name Linda Parker and the email, Lizparker1919. Then, the title of the document already had a misspelled word (and this is supposed to be the original language doc).

If you Google [email protected] the ProZ post is, I believe, second in line, so this definitely helped solidify my suspicions.

Suggestion, if the client is not a ProZ member, beware. Also, just in case, Google them if you smell something fishy or aren't sure about them.

This, as FYI, is how the document starts, so don't believe it if you see it!
