Hi everyone, A client has requested me to give him a quote to translate a manual (around 100 pages). The problem is that the whole manual was scanned as images. Is there a way to convert the images to Word in order to make a word count? In your experience, what is the best way to do this? I will appreciate your help. Thanks in advance.

The only way to do it - OCR (Optical Character Recognition) with any ocr software. E.g. ABBYY FineReader. Anyway, you need to convert it into word if you want to use a CAT.

Wouldn't it be better to search in the forum before asking once again?

Thank you so much for your help, Joanna. Abbyy Fine Reader worked fine!
