German to English translations [PRO]
Medical - Medical: Dentistry / Registerauszug
German term or phrase: Staatsexamen
Staatsexamen

This is an entry in a "registerauszug" from a dentist's resigistration. I feel that the English should be "medical /dental licence examination"-the only reason that I am asking here to be sure is that all the google entries I can see are for the USA-is this the right expression for Britain and a British English translation of (dental) Staatsexamen as well?

Thanks for help

I decided on "Examination to become Bachelor of Dental Sciences" as the British equivalent of the American "medical license examination" and hope I am right-I have to admit this was the first time Kudoz didn't really help out but thanks for answering Cilian and I take it from your name that asking round the 17 March (!) wasn't exactly the best time. :)

Notes to answerer
Asker: Thanks for the link but I am still confused. The German refers to an examination so what is the translation in your opinion of Staatsexamen? Graduate is not a translation. I am afraid I am more confused than before.
