Hi, I'm a master's student in Translation Studies in the University of Iceland, graduating in May 2022. I translated the Japanese book Ningen Shikkaku (No Longer Human) by Osamy Dazai to Icelandic for my master's thesis. As part of my studies I've done numerous translations from Japanese to Icelandic or English, or from English to Icelandic. My favorite is translating Japanese prose, although I'm proficient in translating more technical texts as well.
I'm looking forward to working with you.

I am studying Japanese for the last one year with huge dedication and have completed level 4 certification. I have completed my master’s in business management prior to this and while being an operational executive with some multinationals, I got the opportunity to be a part of a pre-sales business content management team. During that phase, I realized the power of languages and Japanese with its different scripts appealed me the most.

Indonesian native speaker, but I feel more comfortable to study materials in English rather than my native language. Heavily engaging with Japanese language related activity since high school, passed my Japanese N2 proficiency test while attending Arabic language major in college.

I love linguistic related things, but also intrigued by maths and physics.

I aim to be a professional freelance translator.
