Where will your email be delivered if you reply to [email protected]?

I sometimes receive emails from bluh.bluh.translation, Ltd. via Proz.com . Some of these emails don't have any return email address in them. If I just click "reply" on the original email, where will my reply message delivered to? To [email protected]? What would happen to the message if it will be delivered there?

Just try it; you don't have to actually send the email, but click reply and check the email address in the To: field.
Some e-mail addresses rejet incoming return mails. It is highly likely you will get nowhere.

I would have thought that trying it would have been a quicker alternative too. Anyway, I think I have had problems with disappearing emails once or twice, but they were cases when there was a link to the ProZ messages area, that I should have used but was too hasty in my reply to notice. I think those are the "ProZ Message" ones. For a "ProZ Email", it comes from a "bounce" address, but when you click "Reply" it goes and finds the correct email address to reply to, so all is fine. I think those are the "ProZ Message" ones. For a "ProZ Email", it comes from a "bounce" address, but when you click "Reply" it goes and finds the correct email address to reply to, so all is fine. I'm not sure you CAN reply to the "bounce" address, but then I've never followed that line of enquiry. Perhaps selecting "Reply all" would fire off a totally useless email to bounce around in the ether for ever more. ▲ Collapse

If I remember rightly, your email will go to the company - the company's email appears if you press reply in Outlook.

I clicked on "reply to all" when I sent the message but I found only [email protected] was shown as the recipient when I checked the email in my "sent" folder.
What was in common with these emails was that the persons who sent me the initial emails didn't log in Proz.com.

When you send a email through ProZ you're supposed to enter your email address for replies.
