ProZ.com powwow: "Special" Stammtisch at the BBC Lounge

Hi!

Thanks to Fouad Razek we have the opportunity to meet in the BBC Lounge at Bush House.

We have been talking about having a Powwow there since January, but due to various administrative procedures it was not possible until now.

Looking at Bush House it is a very impressive and beautiful building, and according to Fouad food and drinks are really cheap at the BBC Lounge.

You are all very welcome to join us and enjoy a special translator afternoon there.

This is a one-off! The June Powwow will be held again at the Grafton Arms (near Warren Street) - the venue is already booked.

What is important is that we confirm attendance as soon as we know because Fouad needs to have an approximate number of people coming. the actual lounge opens at 5pm but we can meet in the canteen and then proceed to the lounge once it is open.

... to confirm (as good as you can) your attendance by Monday 21st of May, as then the list will be sent to the BBC.

By the way - the BBC Lounge will open for us at 3pm, which is great!

If somebody arrives late, what should they do? Ask where is the canteen or lounge, or do we need to be escorted when we're inside the building?

For those who arrive a bit later May 15, 2007

Hi Oliver,

I suppose, the best thing is to arrive at Bush House at any time of your convenience and ask for the Lounge (which will be open) at reception (I hope there is one, have never been in Bush House!).

I'll post my mobile number one day before the Powwow.

Fouad has already got the Lounge open 2 hours earlier so I am sure people will be aware of a translator's meeting and show you the way to the Lounge.

I have just been informed that the 'BBC Lounge' is actually the 'BBC Club' and that whoever comes into Bush House would please be so kind and ask for Dr. Fouad Razek in the 'BBC Club'.
This is the 'entry pass'.
A list of attendees has been sent.
Any more questions please ask here on this page or send me an e-mail.
My phone number will be posted a day before the Powwow.
