Source text - English Korea’s consumer behaviour contributed for to the early and fast development of broadcasting, including internet/mobile banking, home networking, smart technologies and intelligent buildings, and Korea continues to be one of the largest and fastest growing ICT countries in the world. In 2009, Korea had registered 39.4 million internet users (for a population totalling close to 50 million people). Korea also has the highest number of broadband connections per capita in the world and 47.944 million mobile phones*. In November, 2010, Korea’s top fixed-lined operator, KT Corp, announced that Korea offers the world’s third-largest number of WiFi hotspots and users have wireless internet access on the streets, mountains, rivers and subways across the country.
