My higher education started with a technical high school with a major as automation engineer. During the fife years in school I learned many things about mechanical construction, electrical design and programming. We worked with 3D-CAD construction systems (Pro/Engineer or Catia), developed our own electronic hardware to control robots which were programed in C using Microsoft Windows. After my technical high school I served as a paramedic in the military.
Subsequently I worked for fife month in a company named Neuson. My main task was to develop a new machine to handle debris at construction site. After my work at Neuson, I started my university education as a technical physics. Beside my physics major I attended many courses from the computer science program out of personal motivation where we learned Java. During my studies I attended many courses for numerical simulation and calculations using C++ or Fortran. My specialization on semiconductor and solid state physics was started during my year abroad in the USA at the University of Kentucky. In January 2010 I finished my diploma thesis: “Low Dimensional Transport in Si/SiGe Heterostructures” in the workgroup of Prof. Friedrich Schäffler. diploma thesis
During my last years at the university I developed a CNC machine from scratch. This machine is used to cut wings out of a Styrofoam block for model planes. To control the self designed electronic I used Visual C++ and the MFC. After selection of the profile for each side of the wing and input of the basic dimensions the software calculates everything to control the stepper motors automatically.
In June 2010 I began working at E+E Elektronik in the department of basic research. My main focus was on the research and development of CO2 sensors. I developed a new product which will be able to measure higher CO2 concentrations. Therefore a new measurement system was designed and the theoretical calculations were performed to meet the product design criteria. More information can be found here: EPlusE |
