As a naturalised German Sinhalese who has lived in both Sri Lanka & Britain before migrating to Germany to join the Canadian husband, I am both linguistically and culturally a product of the East & the West and am well able to interpret, adapt, translate, localize all kinds of material for the most fine-tuned production of your material.

Studied English at the University of London. Am a Business English trainer certified by the London Chamber of Commerce & Industry. Am an Inter-Cultural trainer with specialization in Business topics, trained by the York Associates UK & Universitaet Konstanz, Germany.
Technical Knowledge -
Have followed the 'Dolmetscher Führerschein' (Interpreter Translator Licence) course in Translation & Interpretation run by the Dolmetscher-Treff, the Schleswig-Holstein Professional Association for Translators & Interpreters, in North Germany.

Preparing to sit in January 2018 the Diploma in Translation, the post graduate level qualification also known popularly as DipTrans of the Charted Institute of Linguists, London (IoL).

Have worked as a freelance Translator & Interpreter for 15 years, as well as teaching English for Specific Purposes in very many subjects including Banking, Finance, Medical, Legal, Human Resources, Technical, Tourism among other. Therefore my subject area knowledge is broad.
