Ens veiem en l’altre, en els silencis,
i les paraules són vagues imatges,
ecos de sensacions intangibles,
pobres metàfores —com les estrelles
que et neixen als ulls—, indicis de fets
que no es poden precisar: subtileses,
gestos discrets que ens sabem de memòria,
símptomes d’afectes i de trasbalsos
de l’ànim, evocacions dels dies
morts i afanys que minven —advertim
bescanvis en els capvespres— quan som
a mig camí de les commocions,
d’alegries dolces i desencisos
que ens faran més soferts i transigents,
i dels plors vessats sobre els infortunis
fins que ens reconeguem en els visatges
impertorbables de les escultures
i jo retrobi, rere els finestrals,
al contrallum d’aquell museu bastit
damunt megàlits preromans, la mar,
l’esplendor blavíssima de les brises
d’hivern, el sol del migdia besant
la plaça i l’aire de resignada
tristesa del teu esguard enfosquit,
lliscant lentament pels aparadors,
observant fíbules, llànties, daus...
emmirallat en la fredor dels vidres.

Translation - English Silences
We see differently, in silences,
and the words are just vague images,
echoes of intangible feelings,
poor metaphors- like stars
that are born in the eyes-, indexes of the deeds
that no one needs: subtitles,
discrete gestures that we know by memory,
symptoms of affections and disturbances
of the sole, reminders of deceased days
and of eagerness that diminished- we notice
these changes at the end of the days- which are
half way through all the worries,
sweet happiness and disillusions
that make you wise and patient,
and tears poured down from misfortunes
until we recognise them in the unchangeable
appearances of the statutes,
and once again, I look into this fortified museum,
behind the windows, reflections against the light,
above pre-roman megaliths, the sea,
blue splendour of the breezes
in winter, the midday sun kissed
square, and, there is an air of resigned
sorrow in your lifeless stare
that passes slowly over displaying windows,
observing brooches, lamps and dice…
reflected in the coldness of the glass.

Нам видится всё по иному в молчаниях,
и слова есть вольные отображения,
эхо неразделённых чувств,
и жалких метафор- словно звёзды
зарождающиеся в глазах-, указатели дел
что никому не нужны: подзаголовки,
тайные жесты известные нам по памяти,
симптомы увлечений и беспокойств
души, воспоминанания дней
усопших и угасание стремлений- заметим
перемены на закате дней- что есть
лишь пол пути из потрясений,
сладчайших радостей и разочарований
что делают нас мудрей и терпеливей,
и слёзы пролитые от несчастий
так узнаваемы у непоколебимых статуй
и узнаю я вновь, за окнами витрин,
глядя во внутрь, прищуриваясь против света,
в тот огороженный музей
поверх до-римских мегалитов, море,
в великолепии от сини бризов
зимой, полуденное солнце целующее
площадь и воздух отрешенной
печали от твоего потухшего взгляда,
скользящего медленно вдоль витрин,
обозревая броши, светильники, игральные кости...
отражающиеся в холоде стёкол.
