Male , 57 years old, residing in Asia, with wife and 3 small kids.

What's inside my head, and what got stuck in there?

+8 years experience in translating, subtitling, synopsis translation, etc., and 15+ years in authoring, journalism, copywriting, SoME strategy, SEO/SEM, business development, campaign and marketing, and finally transcreation.

In my younger years, I grew up in the countryside, and have experience in timbering, bricklaying, craftmanship all-round, CNC, work with the lathe, welding, farming, forest work, etc., so:

I am definitely an all-rounder who can handle most given tasks within writing and translation. 

But the future called me one day, and...

Yeah, Now I'm an Oldschool Geek—I know it :

I have been a professional IT specialist since the early '80s, which means I have a lot of experience in the IT field generally. Developer in several code languages as well, which gives me an intuitive understanding of translating software for both computers as well as mobile platforms (OS) and software (primarily Android).

I did the tricks with Yahoo, Google, Bing, and several other search engines and still do them.

I worked with SEO for many years as well, also on a professional basis, and still do so occasionally.

In relation to my SEO work (freelance), I also handled marketing and advertising, which means I have great skills in writing campaign texts, SEO texts generally, keywords, news articles, creative writing, etc.

And I can write the SEO texts for your subpages, landing pages, etc., which will bring you sky-high in Google. Try me out.

The authoring part 

Furthermore, I have, as a former portal developer and owner, done a lot of software reviews and testing, and been writing news articles for several media.

But Well... I prefer this. 

My main area is computers, cellphones, and gadgets; hence, I can write and translate anything requested in my native language.

Not the personality of a geek, even if I might be one.

As a person, I'm flexible, pretty hard in time and project management, VERY STRICT on deadlines, easy to get along with, good in communication, creative like crazy, reliable, responsible, MORE THAN GREAT to think "out-of-the-box", and of course I take the privacy, discretion of my clients, and their security very seriously.

Informal or formal? I can cope with both. It depends on the client or the assigned project.

Dos and Don'ts

Any project has interest for me, EXCEPT transcription, which I don't have any experience in, so please don't send me offers for transcribing. It would be a waste of both yours and my time! 

I accept both small and large projects - as long as they bring bread to the table and the price is right.

If you have any exciting SMALLER tasks but your budget doesn't match, let's have a talk and see if we can't make a deal anyway (I know budgets can be limited in startups).
