I am a translator born in Germany and moved to Croatia at age 14. I am bilingual, I have been speaking German at school, Croatian at home. After Gymnasium I studied at the Faculty for Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb, where i stopped at my final year and started working as a translator. I have 9 years full-time plus 7 years part-time experience in translating, reviewing and editing. I have specialized in technical, IT and legal texts, but I have translated a lot of other fields as well. I do not translate clinical trials, but when I come across a new subject, I research it carefully. I have attended courses for CAT tools (SDL Trados, Across, MemoQ), which I use on a daily basis and I have also worked in memsource, smartCAT, wordbee, passolo and transit. For translation project management I use Trello, but since I am very computer literate and a fast learner, I get familiar with a new tool easily. I have also experience in MTPE, NTEU, OCR annotation, SEO, transcription and copywriting.
