Bio
I have officially started my translator's career at 16; unofficially, I have been an interpreter ever since I can remember.

I was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, and raised as bilingual, but by the age of 12, thanks to my parents' ceaseless efforts to expose me to multicultural environments, I was already fluent in Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, and English.

I hold an International Baccalaureate Bilingual Diploma, with Lithuanian and English as my native languages, and a Master of Arts in Professional and Business Communication from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA. Having lived, studied, and worked in Prague, Czech Republic, for over 14 years, I am also near-native in Czech, and have excellent passive knowledge of Slovak.

What sets me aside from most other translators is that I have learned all my working languages at a very early age, through immersion in their respective cultural environments, rather than formal schooling. Using all my languages on a daily basis in social and work interactions allows me to keep in touch with the ongoing development of languages and their stylistic patterns.

I consider translating highly specialised texts into English to be my key strength: I have a very keen eye for linguistic nuance (supported by a recent GMAT verbal reasoning score in the top 1% worldwide), and an ability to organically merge the finest details in the intended meaning and style of the original into the translated text.
