Bio
I am a Pharmacist and am very much involved in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. I am currently studying for a Masters degree in Measurement and Evaluation of Quality in Education at the National University of Education in Peru and previously obtained my pharmacy degree from the University of San Marcos, as well as my diplomature in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. Having spent a significant amount of time abroad, I obtained my Diploma on Education of Human Values in Bombay, India. I helped to write the first and second editions of the published book entitled “Andean Tradition: Golden Age,” and I am currently working on translating part of the book into English for the third edition.
In addition to the translation of the published book, I have worked closely with the South Korean governmental organization, as well as the Japanese Association: Mokichi Okada Association (MOA), compiling, translating, and transcribing English into Spanish and vice versa. I have also published articles in English for scientific conferences. I am very internationally oriented, having spent a year in India volunteering and obtaining my Diploma, six months in a research internship at the University of California, Berkeley, to study the packaging motor of the phage phi-29, and also having spent significant amounts of time in Nepal. As part of my educational background I had to be familiar with a fairly broad range of topics, from medicine to science to philosophy, in both English and Spanish languages.
In my free time, I volunteer in Education in Human Values in diverse environments, helping children of poor areas alongside other professionals related to the health fields. I also give courses on complementary medicine to university and graduate level students.
I am very eager to learn new things and to expand my knowledge of topics I am currently knowledgeable about. I love working with other languages and speaking with people from different cultures, and I stand committed to do the best job that I can.
