Place to stay? Sep 20, 2004

Does anybody know where I could find a not so expensive place to stay in Riga for a weekend (Oct 23-24)?

Wow, Sep 20, 2004

we can expect quests from Lithuania- please read all:

http://www.proz.com/powwow/559

To Dziuginta- I am very sorry, but I myself cannot accomodate anyone, but, as I said in Lithuanian Pow-Wow, I have an idea- I have to check out. And personally to you- I was so confused that I didn't find an opportunity to tell you you're twice as beautiful you were last year...

Dear Dziuginta Sep 20, 2004

it's not a compliment, just a statement of plain fact))

As to the hotel- I'll explore the possibilities and inform you all in this thread. Maybe some Latvian member can accomodate someone- we'll see, I am indeed sorry, but I just have no any spare room...

Flying Frog Oct 11, 2004

Just a quick addition to Uldis' note. 'Lidojosa varde' is The Flying Frog (in English). I've seen it referred to by that name in various EN publications and just wanted to make sure no-one gets lost on the way.

Meeting time Oct 11, 2004

For those of you who don't speak Latvian I just wanted to clarify that Ilga asked why we've suggested that the pow-wow should kick off at 5pm.

Despite the fact that it's a Saturday, many freelancers often work at the weekend, so at least a 5pm start will give them a chance to work during the day, before enjoying a well-earned rest in the evening.

Jana

p.s. Could we all try to stick to English here, given that this pow-wow has now become an international event?
