I can help. I have been a freelance translator and editor since 2014. My expertise lies in medical translation with a particular focus on translation of patient information, informed consent, study-related documentation, training documentation and PL. My specialist fields include internal medicine, cardiology and pharmaceutical products, with medical technology a further area of interest. Furthermore, I have experience with economic and commercial texts, especially translations of marketing material such as product brochures and presentations. Having worked in the marketing department of a pharmaceutical company, not only my translation and editing skills but also my ability to fulfil customer needs in a highly demanding environment have been field-tested.

As high-level translations are essential to successfully positioning your product, I implement efficient procedures to ensure consistent and traceable quality. I follow these procedures to the letter while working on each and every one of your projects. The QA procedure developed by Strazmesterov Translations contains several steps, e.g. very specialised terminology that I research for you will be listed on a separate terminology form, which also states the source and detailed reasoning for my terminology decisions. After translation, I run through your translated text several times, each time checking one single point of concern. Each run-through is ticked off on my QA-checklist. That way, simple procedures help to achieve complex goals.

About Further Training

Translators are eager to further their skills and expand their knowledge. What I recently did to stay on top of my game:
I participated in one and two-day-seminars about clinical trials, hands-on medical technology, cardiology, water and electrolyte balance and customer relations. Furthermore, I also attended special training sessions about tips and tricks with regards to problem-solving, while working with SDL Trados Studio 2017.

And finally, a bit more about myself . . .

I’ve spent extended periods abroad, mainly in China and the UK. Therefore, I’ve had plenty of opportunity to learn how to act in linguistically and culturally complex situations. My cross-cultural experience helps me a great deal with fine-tuning your message to the target market.
