Stehunfähigkeit / Gehunfähigkeit

Hallo.
Es geht um einen kleinen Jungen, der an Ataxie, muskulärer Hypotonie, Epilepsie und noch vielem mehr leidet.

Außerdem leidet er auch an Steh- und Gehunfähigkeit.

Es ist eine Internetseite, die von seiner Mutter erstellt wurde, um Spenden für eine Delfintherapie zu sammeln. Es sollte also nicht unbedingt ein medizinischer Fachbegriff sein, mit dem nur Ärzte was anfangen können, falls es das gibt.

Das ist Teil einer Aufzählung der Krankheiten, an denen der Kleine leidet.

you would be best advised to use a verbal construction: the poor child can neither stand nor walk (or "is unable to...")

Perhaps more elegant would be: 'inability to stand or walk'.

I know it applies to "Gehunfaehigkeit". It may also apply for both.

I've found that term as well. I just didn't know how common it is and whether it does apply to both German terms.
