Bio
I am a Archaeologist who has lived and worked in Norway since 2003. I have recently returned to the UK to complete a Masters in Archaeological Science, studying part time.

Norwegian has been my living and working language since 2004, when I began working for the University in Oslo. I have written excavation reports to publication standard in Norwegian and helped collegues both formally and informally with translation and proof reading for reports, speeches and published articles. As I lived in the country and will return there, I feel I have a understanding of the language from many social and everyday contexts as well as employment related.

I have a formal qualification, the so called berganstesten, which I took over two years ago. The written test, which I took, is the required level to enter a university degree course taught in Norwegain.

I am interested in translation/ proof reading work from any area, however my strength lies in my working knowledge of archaeology, history, museum texts and to some degree earth sciences. I am focusing my current studies on soil science and chemistry, which based on a Norwegian project I am involved in, and have recently developed a stronger understanding of the language in this area.
