Hi Tatiana!

Thanks for the tip, but I only translate into my native language, which is already English.
Would be thrilled to see a contest with a German source text!

Can't have everything and thanks for thinking of me!

Take care,
Ramey

Hello Ramey,

Sorry to butt in here. It would be great to have a German source text for one of the upcoming contests. If you have any suggestions, please do submit them here: https://www.proz.com/translation-contests/propose_source_text

Thanks!

New edition of ProZ.com translation contests, “The sounds of silence”, starting todayEntries can be withdrawn at any time

Samuel Murray wrote:
Thanks for the clarification -- so, if there are not at least three times as many voters as participants in each phase, that partiular language combination will not move to the next phase. If that happens, can one or more of the participants withdraw their entries during any of the phases, in order to bring the ratio beyond the required threshold?

A participant may withdraw their entry at any time. A withdrawn entry would not necessarily affect the ratio in such a way as to make clear which entries should move to finals, or which entry should win, however.

This was my first translation contest ever and I didn't expect to win. Taking part in it was already a nice experience! For someone who's relatively new to the translation business, this is like a wish come true.
