UPDATE: Depending on the complexity of the text, I might also do translations from German|English into Finnish (My native language is Austrian German.).
I graduated from the University of Vienna with a degree in Nutritional Sciences in December 2008. As my optional subjects I chose food technology. My final thesis described the circumstances of community nutrition for elderly patients. The idea for this thesis I got, while I was working at ward departments in an hospital in Helsinki wondering how to improve the nutritional status of older people.
From 2001 until 2012 I have worked for a small pharmaceutical company (including production) in Austria and also being involved into water analysis, proving its purity according to the latest Pharmacopeia; besides supervising the production, I was doing translations of medical dossiers (German to English).
Since August 2009, when I moved permanently to Helsinki due to personal reasons, I was doing mainly literature research and all kind of administrative office work from home as a project orientated work.
From August 2010 until March 2016 I was working as a personal assistant for a physical handicapped translator in Helsinki. Besides the daily household chores and personal care, I was assisting her by using among other programs, TRADOS software in building up a database and translating her personal blog from Finnish into German.
Since 04/2016 I am doing translations, transcriptions and subtitles via proz.com from Finnish/English into German. Additionally, I am building and developing my own website (WordPress) to enhance nutritional communication and I renewed my own book about liquorice.
Since 04/2018 I am working again for the same pharmaceutical company in Austria, doing a project-based job at production site and designing websites for its products.
