Texte source - italien Con la denominazione "Massi di Cemmo", dal nome dell'omonima frazione sita poco a Nord del comune di Capo di Ponte (BS) (circa 400 m s.l.m.), sono indicati due grandi massi di Verrucano Lombardo (arenaria permiana di colore grigio-violaceo) staccatisi a seguito di una frana dall'alta parete rocciosa che chiude lungo il lato Nord-Ovest della piccola valle di origine glaciale chiamata Pian delle Greppe. Così li trovarono gli antichi uomini della Valcamonica quando decisero di inciderli nel corso dell'età del Rame (IlI millennio a.C.).
Traduction - anglais The name 'Cemmo's Boulders' comes from the village of Cemmo, part of Capo di Ponte and located North of the municipality (around 400 metres a.s.l - Capo di Ponte, Brescia), and indicates two big boulders made of Verrucano Lombardo (Permian Sandstone, grey-violet in colour) that fell from the high wall of rock enclosing the small glacial valley know as Pian delle Greppe to the North-West. They were found by the ancient local people who decided to engrave them during the Copper Age (III millennium B.C.).
