In parallel with my research activities as a professional archaeologist, since 1991 I have been translating into English books on history, art and a wide range of other subjects for major publishing houses in Latvia (such as Neputns, Jumava and Zinatne).
I would say my special skills are: 1) resolving problems relating to specialist Latvian terminology, and 2) providing accurate and comprehensible English translations of complicated academic texts in Latvian.
