I'm Sudanese freelance translator from English to Arabic & vice versa (native language is Arabic) for over 20 years. I started my career as translator in Libya for three (3) years from Jan. 1981 up to 31 Dec. 1983, with a Libyan–British joint stock company (Libyan Tractor Company –LTC). In Qatar I worked for seven (7) years at the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces in the capacity of translator from May 1986 up to October 1993. In Qatar as well I owned and ran a legal translation office for ten (10) years, regularly for 2.5 years and as supervisor for 7.5 years. Moreover, in Qatar I took a position of Senior Translator at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) for more than one and half years from June 2002 up Feb. 2003. In Khartoum, Sudan I joined the United Nations’ Radio in the capacity of Web Journalist and Translator, in Dec. 2007, and worked for three years and 07 months (3.7), where I finished in June 30, 2011, when the radio moved to the South Sudan.
Present job: Freelance translator, working with legal translation offices in the US, UK, UAE and Qatar. Areas covered during the course of my employment in the field of translation include but not limited to the legal, technical, economical, social, medical and military.
