I graduated from Marmara University, the Department of German Language Translation Studies. After graduation, I started to work for a translation company and took part in several projects (both in German and English, but mostly in English) for 3 years. Afterwards, I decided to continue my career as freelance translator. Since then, I am working for several providers as freelance translator. My area of expertise includes technical, legal, marketing, IT, software, gaming and website documents. I also worked on travel related projects, such as website translation of an airline company, magazine regarding general travel topics. Due to the fact that I received education in this area and have gained wide experience in this field, I am able to implement the required translation processes, such as reviewing the text before starting to work on it, making necessary preparation for the terminology, applying customer-specific instructions, conducting research works for the project, proofreading in the end of the translation and carrying out QA procedures. I also work with CAT tools, e.g. SDL Trados Studio 2017, Memsource, memoQ, Xbench.
