Native English (American) speaker with 14 years’ translation/editing experience and 26 years’ work experience.
Translation Fields of Experience: automotive, business, biochemical/medical, technical, agriculture, food technology, environmental, engineering, computer, insurance, and legal (including patents and contracts)

University certificate project specifically included translation of technical documents. Lived and worked two years in Germany and German television (including news) is watched daily.
Former co-president and chairperson of the certification board for The Translators and Interpreters Guild.
Teaching experience: corporate German at Volkswagen and DaimlerChrysler, English at several universities in the US and abroad including teaching Academic and Professional Writing for graduate students at Va. Tech.
