Source text - English Uncertainty, incompleteness and severance
If the terms of the contract are uncertain or incomplete, the parties cannot have reached an agreement in the eyes of the law. An agreement to agree does not constitute a contract, and an inability to agree on key issues, which may include such things as price or safety, may cause the entire contract to fail. However, a court will attempt to give effect to commercial contracts where possible, by construing a reasonable construction of the contract.
Courts may also look to external standards, which are either mentioned explicitly in the contract or implied by common practice in a certain field. In addition, the court may also imply a term; if price is excluded, the court may imply a reasonable price, with the exception of land, and second-hand goods, which are unique.
If there are uncertain or incomplete clauses in the contract, and all options in resolving its true meaning have failed, it may be possible to sever and void just those affected clauses if the contract includes a severability clause. The test of whether a clause is severable is an objective test—whether a reasonable person would see the contract standing even without the clauses.
Translation - Slovenian Nejasnost, nepopolnost in neodvisnost določb
Če so pogodbeni pogoji nejasni ali nepopolni, pogodbeni stranki v očeh zakona pravzaprav nista dosegli dogovora. Dogovor o strinjanju ne predstavlja pogodbe, nestrinjanje o ključnih točkah, na primer ceni ali varnosti, pa lahko pripelje do propada celotne pogodbe. Sodišče se sicer trudi, da prisodi veljavo komercialnim pogodbam, kjer je to mogoče, pri čemer skuša podati smiselno razlago pogodbe.
Sodišče se lahko zgleduje tudi po zunanjih standardih, ki jih pogodba eksplicitno omenja oziroma jih implicira običajna praksa na nekem področju. Poleg tega lahko sodišče predpostavi določen pogoj: če npr. cena ni vključena v pogodbo, lahko sodišče predpostavi smiselno ceno (izjema so zemljišča in edinstvene rabljene dobrine).
Če so v pogodbi nejasne ali nepopolne določbe in so bile izrabljene vse možnosti, da bi razbrali njihov pravi pomen, je mogoče razveljaviti in izničiti samo te določbe, če pogodba vsebuje določbo o medsebojni neodvisnosti določb. Preizkus neodvisnosti določbe je objektiven - načeloma zadošča, če razumna oseba oceni, da izbris neke določbe ne razveljavi pogodbe.

Tri leta sem delala v veliki slovenski zavarovalnici, zaradi česar precej dobro poznam pravo in zavarovalništvo, kar mi pride pri prevajanju zelo prav. Razvila sem tudi precejšen talent za opažanje raznih neujemanj (človek težko verjame, kaj vse prebereš, ko preučuješ zahtevke), kar mi pogosto pride več kot prav tudi pri prevajanju.
Jeziki in prevajalske storitve
Prevajam iz angleškega, bosanskega, hrvaškega in srbskega jezika v slovenski jezik. Prevajam pa tudi iz slovenskega v angleški jezik.
Učila sem se sicer tudi nemščine in španščine, vendar v njiju še nisem dovolj domača, da bi se lotila prevajanja.
