We held our annual Istanbul powwow in Emine Mizyal's garden in Rumelihisarı on Aug. 5. It was quite a pleasant and fruitful meeting, at least allowing two translator colleagues to meet again and get to know each other better. I must say it was disappointing however to find that we lost interest in the event in the end with people who had said they would attend canceling out at the last minute or not showing up at all. We had hoped that meeting in a more private atmosphere would be more appealing. Here's hoping that the host for our next meeting will have better luck. Thank you, Christiane, and your family, for making the occasion so special!
