French term

Maçon coffreur

French to English Tech/Engineering Human Resources
A job title. I believe a "coffreur" is a form setter. Is a "maçon coffreur" therefore a concrete form setter?

shutter hand

I suspect maçon is added to make it clear that this worker deals in concrete (often referred to, by extension, as maçonnerie), i.e. erects and otherwise manipulates concrete formwork (shutters), fills them with concrete, removes them, and starts again ...
This in opposition to a coffreur-boiseur or "formwork carpenter" who makes the forms.

I suspect the maçon-coffreur is the same as the coffreur-bancheur of which Kiwipedia says:

Coffreur-bancheur "Il réalise les travaux de fondations, les assemblages d’éléments en béton armé réalisés sur place ou préfabriqués, ainsi que le positionnement et le réglage des coffrages-outils. Il met en place les armatures, coule le béton et effectue les décoffrages et l’entretien des coffrages. Quel que soit le degré de complexité du chantier, il doit également être capable d’effectuer des travaux courants de béton armé faisant appel aux techniques traditionnelles de coffrages en bois". – shutter hand, formwork erector

neutral kashew : So isn't he also a steel-fixer?

I suppose it's possible, but steel fixing is usually quite independent of concrete work. A bit like Michelin and Renault, they contribute to the same end result, but separately.

ferro-concrete caser /concrete former

Maybe.
Peer comment(s):

neutral mitko999 : 'coffreur' = 'form worker' - one that makes temporary structures out of wood or metal, in which wet concrete is poured. (See: http://www.bconstructive.co.uk/careers/offer/profiles/wood/f...
