I can't recollect the term nor find it in any norwegian dictionaries. If I do a websearch on it, I only get scattered stuff about a Black Metal band.

Given those bands' tendency to favor Norse mythological names and the old Norse words in general, you might be better off asking for a translation from Icelandic (which I don't speak, unfortunately, though I might be able to ask my grandmother who grew up there :)

Icelandic, due to being so isolated after being settled by vikings originally, is about the closest one can find to old norse nowadays. It does have sort of an 'old norse' sound to it (either ferdazyn or ferdasyn) so I reccomend you try that. Good luck. :)

neutral Roald Toskedal : the word in question might be"ferdasyn", which would in case translate into "views from a journey"( Ferd=journey, Syn =view or sight)

agree Tussing : According to my Norwegian sources, "ferda" is travel, and "z" hardly appears in Morwegian
