The context is referring to a section of the Avenida de la Reforma in Mexico City. I'm currently using the word median for camellón central and shoulder for camellón lateral, which I felt ok about. Where I get confuesed is that in other parts of the text there are references to camellón with no clarification of whether it is camellón lateral or camellón central.
