Oil consumption (Latin America)
This is a measurement of oil consumption. I'm pretty sure 'bep' transaltes as 'BOE' (Barrels of Oil Equivalent) and would particularly appreciate suggestions for 'hab-año'.
Genuine technical knowledge rather than guesswork would be greatly appreciated.

Comment: "I chose this one because I needed an abbreviated formula and it worked best in the context. Thanks Mariana, and thanks everyone."

BOE per capita per year
Por habitante por año, or barrels of oil equivalent per person per year. Neater ways of expressing this are surely possible...
Perhaps such as: Annual per capita consumption in the region reached 7.34 BOE in 2010...
The clue is in the first few words of the context you provided: "El consumo final per cápita de la región alcanzó, en 2010,..."

bep a year per inhabitant
The term "bep" means Barrels/equivalent/produced in any language (it is a term already set) and the stats terms "hab/año" mean per inhabitant per year and I would not translate it to mere initials because Canada, South US, Western and Foreign companies use differnt ways of abbreviation
