I am an experienced, qualified translator with over 25 years of experience in the business.

After completing my BA in French and German at Durham University, a Post-graduate Diploma in International Marketing with languages at Staffordshire University and an MA in translation and interpreting at the University of Bradford, I began my career as an in-house translator in a leading translation company in Paris before setting up my freelance business in 1997.

I have gained experience in a wide range of subject areas over the years and translate from both French and German to English. I specialise in particular in the fields of finance, law, business and commerce but also have extensive experience in the areas of medicine, IT, engineering and some technical fields.

My rates vary depending on the difficulty of the text, the volume and the deadline and are generally negotiable. I pride myself on offering high-quality work and always meeting my deadlines. I am always keen to update my technical and linguistic skills and keep up to date with translation software. I have been learning Spanish for a number of years and am currently studying Italian.
