Definition:

Epidemiologie:
Die Prävalenz der Epilepsien beträgt ca. 0,5% bis 1% in der Bevölkerung. Die Häufigkeit einzelner Anfälle ist um ein Vielfaches höher. Bedingt durch die altersgebundenen Epilepsiesyndrome sowie frühkindliche Hirnschäden und Missbildungen ist die Epilepsiehäufigkeit in den ersten beiden Lebendsdekaden relativ hoch. Ab der 6.
