When I have "yes" in the source segment, I get a very looong sentence as a 100% match which is not even in the TM. How can I get Wordfast (Classic) not to propose such a nonsense?

It is rather annoying to have to cancel maybe ten times in a table such a long sentence. Same behaviour for "No" but then I get "Name" and at least this is shorter...

Thank you very much!

I vaguely remember issues being raised in the WfC mailing list (search in Yahoo groups) about very short segments. I remember Yves Champollion stating that Wf si not good at one-word segments. But that was quite some time ago, and there have been several new versions since that.

Deleting entry in WordFast TM Jun 20, 2011

Hello,
have you tried the following?
1. WordFast Setup (Ctrl+Alt+W)
2. Select the TM
3. Click on Edit
4. Select check box of the unit you want to delete and hit Del

Hope this helps

as I wrote, that the entry is not even in the TM. I really wonder where Wf gets this whole sentence from Otherwise, this would have been obviously the first step to do. Thank you, anyway!

are you sure it's not coming from a BTM?

But just out of curiosity, I tried with a BTM now and got a completely different sentence with about 30 words...

This is quite puzzling, isn't it?

The problem with one-word segments Jun 21, 2011

In my experience, the problem with one-word segments is usually the opposite: there is a 100% match in the TM, but Wordfast fails to serve it. I've never seen a case where something is served as 100% match and the source segment is not in the TM. How could that possibly be?

What happens if you press Ctrl+Alt+M to display the TU that triggered the match? Are you sure it's served as 100% match? What you describe defies all logics.

Yes, it's a 100% match, I checked once more. That's why I started this thread, I can't believe it! I never have translated a "Yes" with a sentence of about 30 words

"Not in the TM" Jun 21, 2011

That doesn't mean it's not in the TM. Any number of accidents can cause it to get in there. Did you actually have a look at the TM directly? AFAIK it's a tab delimited txt, you can just search for "Yes[tab]" in it.
