Lebenslauf

I am a specialised translator with over seven years’ experience working in a range of subject areas. My primary field of
specialisation is in law, in which I have a bachelor’s degree and regularly
translate a wide range of legal and regulatory texts, contracts, court
documents and legal notices (particularly with regard to data protection).

During my career, I have also gained extensive knowledge of more technical subject fields relating to
industrial production and chemistry. In addition to this, I enjoy the
creative problems posed by marketing texts, and the considerations involved in
adapting them to different target markets. My work in creating tourism texts
and writing marketing copy has helped me improve these skills, which I apply to
my translations.

Recently I have been taking on more post-editing work and am happy to continue doing so. I use translation memory tools such as MemoQ in my daily work, and am also able to work with SDL Trados packages.


My rates are as follows:

Translation: €0.11/£0.095 per source word

Review/MTPE: €0.065/£0.045 per source word

                     €32/£28 per hour
