Hello, I did some googling on this and it seems that the threads on this subject are rather old so I thought I'd ask around. I have been doing EU translation for one of the big agencies the last few months. I don't know if it is outsourced to one or more agencies at this moment? Initially, I was offered ~30 EUR/page (which I guess is around 250 words?), which I just managed to renegotiate to ~34 EUR/page. This is for regular EU texts, not trademark, which I... Initially, I was offered ~30 EUR/page (which I guess is around 250 words?), which I just managed to renegotiate to ~34 EUR/page. This is for regular EU texts, not trademark, which I have understood is a bit lower. Anyone wants to share what a normal price is/how much they get? I am of course particularly interested in EN-DA but also in what the rates for other languages are/if they are similar. Thanks! ▲ Collapse

34 euros per 250-275 words (EN/FR/DE to SV) is about what I charged when doing EU translations 5-10 years ago. Since then prices have dropped considerably, ending my interest. So in today's environment this looks like a good rate. Of course with EU text the difficulty level varies enormously. | | | RS Linguisti (X) Dänemark Local time: 14:28 Englisch > Dänisch + ... Thanks for the replies so far. @Teresa, would you happen to know where the list for Parliament is to be found?

Apparently, the EP is not as transparent as the EC. They publish in the OJ an annual list of all the contractors, translation agencies included, with a value greater than 15.000 EUR, but only the total amount awarded each year not the rate per page. If you email me ([email protected]) the agency name I could try finding out more... Pl... See more Apparently, the EP is not as transparent as the EC.
