I have received a translation in Dari from a colleague but cannot display it properly on my computer. It seems that particularly numbers are shown as squares instead of numerals. Do you have any idea how this problem can be solved?
Thank you very much for your ideas!
Best regards,
Tanja

What is your OS? Check for language support of (variously) "Farsi" or "Persian"

Greetings.
What is your computer's OS?

What is your computer's OS?
If that OS is MS Windows XP or later, you might well check inside the control panel > ADD > (drop-down list of supported language appears) > and select language support of (variously labeled as either ) Farsi or Persian [MS did not list Dari, but lumped it with Farsi in its bundle of supported languages] > install > reboot.
Perhaps the easier approach -- if this is a one-time job -- is to ask the sender to reformat that document in PDF and send that, and thus the original Persian (Dari) numerals will appear clearly.
Hope this helps.

Persian numerals

With XP and newer systems you can also choose to have the numerals displayed in the Persian style. You can select this under Regional and Language Options in Control Panel.
