le court d'appel a renvoyé l'entier dossier au Tribunal de Commerce pour vider sa saisine.
The rest is fine, it's just this "vider sa saisine" that's causing a problem. I've looked at "saisine" in the glossaries etc, but I can't get anything to work with "vider".

Not 100% sure of the precise meaning, but one possibility would seem to be to translate it in this way.

Very approximate as translations go, but I'm no legal expert.
"Saisine" is the action whereby one requests a decision by a judge.
"vider sa saisine" appears to mean "pass judgment", in the best of cases, or "do whatever is necessary to get the matter out of one's hair" in the worst. It appears to be a responsibility the judge "saisi" must accomplish himself, and not delegate to someone else.

It really seems to me that "vider" means "terminer" (to do away with as in, "se débarrasser de").
saisine=prerogative (in the sense of jurisdiction or what you have dominion over. The old English word is: seisin. It was onced used in feudal courts concerning land/inheritances.
In other words, the entire case is being transferred. What does that mean for the court to whom the case was first referred? They are "terminating their jurisdiction" over this legal matter.
The court has "seisin" or "possession" of the case. This seems to mean in modern English: jurisdiction (seizure)
