Yeah, that sounds reasonable. Another possible solution would be physical testing.

Thanks Charles. I agree with you. The Spanish lawyer from the client (major lawfirm) didn't have any more idea than me. In the end I put ' live testing' and the Spanish in italics. It is a technology co. but can't give more context for confidentiality reasons. I'm new to this forum but it seems a friendly place.

Bill This looks to me like costs attributed to testing or trials of some product; "en real" could mean "in real time", but "prueba en real" probably means final testing in real conditions; see eg. "Meses de desarrollo (aunque sea con más que escasa dedicación por momentos), última prueba en real para probar el producto (con bastante éxito, por cierto)", quoted from http://weblog.linkingpaths.com/author/alberto/. To pin it down it would be helpful to know what sort of company or enterprise this is.
