Technischer Minderwert liegt vor, if it is not possible to put the vehicle into the same technically good order/operative state as before the accident (usability, reliability/safety or appearance).
Merkantiler Minderwert: simply out of the fact that the car has had an accident, the value, i.e. the price you can get for the car on the market decreases, even if all damages caused by the accident have been repaired.
Technischer Totalschaden: total loss, due to the fact that it is technically not possible to repair the car
Wirtschaftlicher Totalschaden: The costs for repairing the car would be higher than the replacement or market value.
