This word appeared in a short forum post in which the poster agrees with some comments critical of President Obama. I don't know what he means by مداد or if there is enough context to figure it out.

as if he is prolonging his voice like Sufi followers.
Anyway, he said this word in his comment in a sarcastic way resembling Obama to the Sufi Sheikhs that the ignorant people seek help at their shrines though those sheikhs cannot help themselves...

By saying this word, he pretends that the speech of Obama made him appear as if he were a Muslim Sheikh that we believed his words. Accordingly, he seeks help from him...

So, the expected reaction is to roll on floor laughing at this funny comment. We may resemble this situation where a religious Christian who listens a clergyman of another religion that sweet talked about Christianity and at the end he sarcastically asked him an Eucharist...
