A term which I cannot find in any of my reference sources is Bauspanplatte.

Taken from a survey of the supply of recycled wood. It is a column heading in a table:

"Baustellensortimente, Dielen, Bauspanplatten, Türblätter und Zar­gen von Innentüren".

I am guessing that it means wooden boards removed from demolished buildings. Is that so?

Neutraler Kommentar  Lancashireman: Sorry, Ingrid, but the presence of the definite article 'the' here sounds non-native. Where did you find 'particle board', by the way? // I don't think I would find any at my local B&Q.
