the next highest constant (class)

the noun is "clase diamétrica" = "diameter class"

If *constant* were the noun, than the phrase in spanish should be "la constante inmediata superior"

aunque es una frase muy rara que intenta sintentizar demasiado. Debería poner: "Tiempo de paso de una clase diamétrica a la inmediata superior que mantenga valores constantes".
es lo que yo interpreto.

NO, in my proposal constant is an adjective!!!

I mean: The next highest constant diameter class.
Or,The hext highst diameter class that keeps constant.....

Note from asker:
AFAIK "constant" is a noun in the answer you propose, but in the Spanish I can't tell whether it's an adj or not... Anyway, thanks for helping on this, my mind's gone blank...
