It takes two to tango.
Meaning that one is a lonely number, if you have two of anything, then you have something. The Turkish expression stresses that one hand is helpless but if you have two hands you can at the least clap and thus generate sound. The closest expression in English would be this one. You need two people to tango, i.e. one person cannot do it just like one hand is helpless. These are both very popular expressions, one in Turkish, the other in English.
